The Communications Division oversees 911 fire and EMS calls as well as non-emergency calls and dispatch. Our dedicated staff of uniformed firefighter-EMT’s serves as a vital link between the community and first responders, and provides the following services:
* Dispatch the appropriate emergency personnel
* Assists callers in fire and medical emergencies before emergency personnel arrive on a scene
* Provide radio support for fire ground operations during an emergency
* Manage calls and dispatch after-hours for Streets and Drainage, Parks and Recreation and Traffic Division
The Beaumont Fire and Rescue Communications Division is also the designated emergency notification center for the Sabine-Neches Chief Association, the oldest mutual aid organization in the United States.
